Navid Sanati started taking photographs at age fifteen. What began as a hoppy quickly became much more important. Photography was a medium that allowed him to express his inner self, a self that he could never talk about before. He refers to most of his work as "self portraits" (and many are), even if he is not in the photo, because despite what the model exudes, it is himself that ultimately is revealed in each photo.
